Oppo Reno 3 4G Variant Announced with Helio P90 and 48MP Camera; Launching In Pakistan Tomorrow Along with Reno 3 Pro
The 4G counterpart to the Oppo Reno 3 5G that was launched in China last year, has been globally released, and it’s the same model that’s hitting store shelves nationwide tomorrow along with Oppo Reno 3 Pro. The phone features an identical build but different hardware under its hood.
Unlike the punch-hole design of the ‘Pro’ edition at a heavy Oppo price tag, the Reno 3 4G debuts with a drop notch that extends into its 6.4-inch FHD+ display — consistent with the Oppo Reno 3 5G. The panel is surrounded by thin bezels, except for the chin that remains noticeably heavier.

The screen on the front houses an in-display fingerprint scanner and a 44MP front-facing selfie camera that sits inside the notch.
As opposed to the much more robust MediaTek Dimensity 1000L platform which powers the 5G variant, the OPPO Reno 3 4G has a slightly weaker Helio P90 at its heart. Oppo has paired it with 8 GB of RAM and 128GB of storage (so you can expect seamless performance out of your Reno 3). The hardware is powered by a 4025 mAh battery and an Android-10-based Color OS 7. The former supports USB Type-C-backed VOOC 3.0 flash charging. On the rear, you’re looking at a quad-camera system, arranged in a vertical layout in the top-left corner. An LED flash flanks this setup, which features a solid 48MP primary shooter, that works with a 13MP telephoto lens, an 8MP wide-angle camera, and a 2MP monochromatic sensor. The phone can bump the pixel count of the shots up to 108MP using the software onboard, as well as better low-light shots thanks to its Ultra Dark Mode. The ensemble supports up to 5x hybrid zoom and 20x digital zoom, as per Oppo’s official listing. The Reno 3 panel itself presents the familiar and modern ‘polished slab’ look and comes in Auroral Blue and Midnight Black colors. The shell is bare save for the branding, and Oppo has chamfered the edges smooth, to allow for a more ergonomic grip.
